With enthusiasm and pride, Casa Danielescu was the reliable partner of the first edition of the “Chess Cup at the Manor”, an event organized on 25 February 2024, within the Chess in a School project, with ACS Tinerii Spartani as the dedicated host.
The competition, held in 6 rounds of 15 minutes/player with 2-second increments, was attended by over 70 talented children from Gorj, Dolj, Mehedinți, and Hunedoara counties. These young aspiring chess players had a valuable platform to showcase their skills in the exciting chess world. ACS Young Spartans, as dedicated organizers, were instrumental in the event’s success.
Casa Danielescu was honored to sponsor this tournament, reinforcing its strong commitment to the community and youth development by supporting high-level educational and sporting activities.
We cannot fail to mention the essential contribution of the other sponsors involved in the success of this remarkable event: the “Nothing Impossible” Association, Moți Chess School, and Education through Chess Drobeta. Without the generous support of these partners, the Chess Cup at the Manor would not have had the same positive impact.
ACS Tinerii Spartani would also like to thank lawyer Matei Catrinoiu, tournament director Roșca Melania-Miruna and teacher Lupulescu Alina for their special support and involvement in this exciting project.

Total prizes of 600 lei, cups and diplomas were offered, adding a special touch to the event. This initiative not only gave children the chance to develop their passion for chess, but also contributed to promoting the talents of young chess players in the region.
Casa Danielescu is always open to proposals for civic involvement and looks forward to hosting cultural and educational events. We are proud to be part of such initiatives and to contribute to shaping the future by supporting projects that promote education and sport among young people.
